04 / LE CINQUE ATTI

Every cup, an opera in five acts.

— la curva del campione, eseguita dalla macchina

A complete extraction symphony in about ±33 seconds — pre-infusion to gentle release. Stable 9 bar at the puck is the café reference most portables miss.

Atto I — Pre-infusion

2 bar

Low pressure wets the puck like first rain on dry soil — gently waking the grounds, pushing CO₂ out before the storm.

Atto II — Bloom

hold · ramp

A held breath. The bed swells, aromas open, the puck compacts evenly — the foundation every great extraction stands on.

Atto III — Estrazione

9 bar

Stable ~9 bar at the puck. Steady pressure pulls sweetness, body and crema — the café reference most portables miss.

Atto IV — Riposo

9 → 4 bar

Pressure steps down with grace. The bed settles; extraction intensity eases so bitterness never gets a visa.

Atto V — Finale

4 → 0 bar

A slow release to zero. The last drops fall sweet, the puck stays intact — clean finish, easy clean-up.

Epilog — The Encore

No screen trick — the espresso really climbs on its own. Watch it rise, then drink.

05 / VERSO L'ALTO

Gravity is free. We use it.

Every other portable machine fights physics. PURA brews upward — the moka way. Water pressure and gravity compact the puck together; crema, lighter than coffee, floats to the top on its own.

And then comes the sight every PURA owner films at least once: coffee rising slowly from the bottom of the cup — la salita, the rise. It is our visual signature, and the moment engineering turns into theatre.

Neo Pro studio — upward extraction

Gravity-assisted tamping

Puck weight and water pressure work in the same direction — hydrostatic uniformity no hand tamper can match.

Crema that layers itself

Low-density oils rise naturally, forming a denser, longer-lasting golden crema layer.

Open the lid and drink

The outlet faces up — no drips, no decanting, no parts scattered across your desk.

Even saturation

Water enters from below and rises through the whole bed at once — helping reduce channeling risk for fuller, more consistent crema.

— our patented approach to portable extraction

A cup that thinks like a barista.

Pour in ground coffee and water. Press once. About three minutes later (design target from cold), coffee rises from the bottom of the cup — heated, pressurized and choreographed across five acts. Photo-to-curve is available today; deeper taste-learning is on the roadmap.

11 / IL MANUALE

Everything you'd ask the manual.

— domande & risposte

What's in the box?

Neo Pro · tamper & dosing ring · coffee scoop · puck blower & cleaning block · USB-C PD cable · storage pouch · Flavor Correction Guide · Care Tips card. Capsule adapter is optional dual-mode — ground coffee is the pro path.

Capsules or ground coffee?

Ground coffee is the pro path: typical 14–16g class puck target — follow the in-app Brew Card for dose, grind, and curve. Capsule adapter (Nespresso-compatible) is available as optional dual-mode secondary use.

How do I brew a cup?

Double-press to wake, load grounds (or optional capsule via adapter), add ~50 ml of water (never past the 70 ml max line), close the lid, long-press 2 seconds. When the halo blinks green three times — open and drink, straight from the cup.

What can Brew OS do today vs roadmap?

Today: photo-to-curve suggestions, Brew Cards (grind, dose, curve), and programmable multi-stage profiles. Deep taste-learning from ratings that builds a unique long-run profile is on the roadmap — we do not claim Cup 10 / Cup 100 signatures yet.

Is this a 40-bar machine?

No. Extraction marketing is stable 9 bar at the puck. Pump capability spans 0–18 bar as engineering headroom for the multi-stage curve — not a 40-bar extraction story.

What is the light ring telling me?

White breathing = waking up. Blue = standby, Bluetooth connected. Orange-to-gold flow = heating. Golden swirl = extracting. Green ×3 blinks = ready to drink. Red pulse = battery under 20%. Rainbow flow = status / celebration (not “AI is learning”).

How do I clean it?

After each use: discard grounds, rinse basket, run one water-only cycle, brush the path, wipe dry. Weekly: soak removable parts. Monthly: descale with 1:1 white vinegar and water, then clear-water cycles.

Can I edit the extraction curve?

Yes. Advanced users can program up to 8 stages of temperature, pressure and time in the app — the signature five-act curve is your starting point, not your ceiling.

What about warranty?

12 months from purchase, covering quality issues under normal use — excluding human damage, water ingress beyond IPX4, and self-disassembly. Support: support@puracoffee.com.

What's the price of Neo Pro and Titanium?

Neo Pro $349 · Titanium $399. Or start with Early Bird Pass $5 for $50 off (code PURA50, once per customer). Same Brew OS foundation; Titanium is the elevated finish line.

Before the first brew — what should I do?

Charge fully (~2 hours, until the halo is solid green), pair the app, then run two full tanks of plain water — no grounds or capsule.

Can I brew in the car?

The Ø72 mm base fits standard cup holders. Keep the machine upright, drink from the open lid, and operate only when parked and safe.

How do I check the battery?

Single-press the button: full green 75–100%, three-quarter yellow 50–75%, half orange 25–50%, quarter red under 25%.

What else does the app do?

Remote start/stop, recipe library, light customization, monitoring, and OTA updates. Full detail on the Brew OS page: /pages/brewos

What should I never do?

Do not fully immerse (IPX4 splash only). No dishwasher or abrasives. Do not charge above 45°C or with a damaged cable. For long storage, leave the battery around 50%.

Something’s wrong — quick fixes?

Won’t turn on → charge 15 minutes. Red fast blink → long-press 3 seconds to reset. Slow shot → check grind/tamp. Weak taste → adjust Brew Card dose or use less water. Bluetooth → stay within 3 m. Leaks → retighten basket and seal.

Halo turns red (over-temp)?

Usually from back-to-back heat cycles. Wait about 30 minutes. It is one of seven protections, not a fault.

Best way to charge?

45W USB-C PD is fastest; 5V/1A works but slower. Input rating up to 20V / 1.7A max.

Why short-press then long-press within 2 seconds?

Anti-misfire. The machine also auto-offs after about 5 minutes idle.

Why does tilting stop the brew?

A 6-axis gyro watches orientation. Tip too far and it alarms and stops. Keep upright while brewing.
