How do I brew a cup with the NEO PRO?
Add ground coffee or a capsule using the adapter. Fill the water tank with at least 50 mL of drinking water, without exceeding the maximum 70 mL fill line. Prepare the extraction chamber, then press the button briefly once and hold it for 2 seconds to turn on the device. Once the device is on, press the button once to start Heated Brewing, which heats the water to the default temperature of 92°C / 197.6°F; or press the button twice to start Preheat-Skip Brewing, which brews directly at the original temperature of the water in the tank.
Should I use ground coffee or capsules with the NEO PRO?
Ground coffee is the preferred choice for a professional brew. The typical coffee-puck target is 14–16 g; follow the Brew Card in the app for the recommended dose, grind size and extraction curve. The optional capsule adapter is compatible with Nespresso capsules, but capsule brewing is intended as a secondary mode.
How do I clean the NEO PRO after use?
Discard the capsule or coffee grounds. Rinse all removable, washable parts with water and wipe the body dry. Wipe the extraction chamber dry or allow it to air-dry. Make sure all parts are completely dry before reassembly, and store the product in a dry, well-ventilated place. Do not immerse the body in water, place it in a dishwasher or use abrasive cleaners.
What’s in the box?
The box includes the NEO PRO, tamper and dosing ring, coffee scoop, USB-C PD cable, storage pouch, Flavor Correction Guide and Care Tips card. The capsule adapter is an optional accessory; ground coffee remains the professional path.
What should I do before the first brew?
Charge the device fully, which takes approximately 2 hours until the halo turns solid green. Pair it with the PURA app, then run two full tanks of plain water through the system without a capsule or coffee grounds.
What is the light ring telling me?
White breathing: Power-on / Bluetooth connected; orange breathing: Heating; solid orange: Brewing (appears approximately 2–3°C below the target temperature and is normal); blue rolling: Self-check; fast red flashing: Fault. For more information about the light effects, please refer to the user manual.
Can I brew in the car?
Yes. The Ø72 mm base fits standard cup holders, and upward extraction means the device never needs to leave the holder. The lid opens on top and you drink from the cup. Operate it while parked or at a red light, and keep it upright while brewing.
How do I check the battery?
When checking the battery level or powering on: solid green indicates >60%; solid yellow indicates 30–60%; solid red indicates <30%.
What can Brew OS do today, and what is on the roadmap?
Today, Brew OS supports photo-to-curve suggestions, Brew Cards covering grind size, dose and curve, and programmable multi-stage profiles. Deep taste-learning from ratings that builds a unique long-term profile is on the roadmap.
Can I edit the extraction curve myself?
Yes. Advanced users can program up to 8 stages of temperature, pressure and time in the app. The signature five-act curve is your starting point, not the limit of what can be adjusted.
What else does the app do?
The app supports remote start and stop, a recipe library and community downloads, light-ring customization, device monitoring for battery, temperature and brew count, AI bean-pairing suggestions and Bluetooth OTA firmware updates.
What should I never do?
Never immerse the body; IPX67 is splash-resistant only. Never use a dishwasher or abrasive cleaners. Never charge above 45°C or with a damaged cable. For long-term storage, leave the battery at approximately 50%.
